The weekend of November 12, 13
and 14, you are invited to join a group of car junkies on a
visit to three museums.
At 1:00 pm on Friday, November 12, we'll leave the parking
lot of the now-closed Pancake House on Union Centre
Boulevard just east of I-75 north of Cincinnati. Using
mostly non-Interstate routes, we'll drive to Auburn, Indiana
for an overnight at the Auburn Inn (www.auburninn.com)
after supper at Auburn's Town Tavern or Sandra D's. (Call
260-925-6363 and ask for Queen City Coopers Rate $69.99)
On Saturday, November 13, we will start at the Auburn Cord
Duesenberg Museum (www.acdmuseum.org)
followed by the National Automotive and Truck Museum of the
United States (www.natmus.org).
Costs: ACD = $10, NATMUS = $7.
For those who wish to continue, late on the afternoon of the
13th, we'll take non-Interstate routes to Dearborn, Michigan
for an overnight at the Dearborn Inn, A Marriott Hotel (Use
Marriott's website for information.). For those who don't
wish to continue on to Dearborn, we'll miss you!
On Sunday, November 14, we will visit The Henry Ford Museum
(www.thehenryford.org)
from its opening at 9:30 until about 2:30, at which point
we'll head south on I-75 and home (ETA 7:30 pm). Cost:
Museum only $15; add an IMAX movie at $9 (traditional
length) or $10.75 (feature length).
Please contact Bobbi (bobbi.ross@fuse.net)
or Tim (hugcrv@fuse.net)
Ross with your interest before you book any rooms or
tickets. We are considering limiting the group to ten cars.
If we have enough participants, we will block rooms at both
hotels and call ahead for group discounts at the ACD Museum
and The Henry Ford Museum. |
