Overview - One Hotel - Three nights - Three drives.
Using the "cloverleaf" approach this three day driving event will be based out of a central host hotel where we will be staying all nights. We will depart each morning from for a different planned driving tour that contains terrific scenery, historic elements and, of course, fabulous West Virginia back country mountains, "hollers" and twisties. In October of last year, the event planner drove these routes and was delighted to find that the local towns and counties made sure to get their share of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 stimulus funds and have put the money into road projects.
The driving events will held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with lunches in route and dinners upon our return to the Lewisburg area. The advantage of the cloverleaf approach is that participants can join up with the group for as many or as few of the nights and drives as they like. Plan on Thursday arrival for the full event experience. The only requirement is that participants must attend the drivers meeting in the morning at the host hotel. Also, we have blocked a total of 20 rooms for this event, so book early!
