The 7th Annual International Route 66 Mother Road FestivalFriday Sep 26 through Sun Sep 28th. Calling all cars and cars buffs. The 7th annual International Route 66 Mother Road Festival & Car Show in Springfield, Illinois returns with some things old and some things new. But no one will be blue at the Midwest's biggest tribute to the country's best-loved road, U.S. Route 66. The festival is cool cars, hot music and free entertainment right in the heart of Springfield's historic downtown. |

I do recommend that you register for this event at the following website which is less than user-friendly. Registration essentially buys you a parking space downtown throughout the event. If you have a classic roadster then it also gets you into the contest .

TICKETS: Admission is FREE to all spectators.
REGISTER:
To register click here or call 1-866-RTE-66IL today through Sunday, September 21st for $40 plus a $3 handling fee. Registration includes weekend admission for the vehicle. Register at the fairgrounds for $50 beginning on Saturday Sept. 27th 9am - Noon on the corner of 6th and Lawrence. All year, makes and models are accepted.
